FAQs
Who is behind Media Learnity?
Media Learnity was founded by Faras Ghani, a journalist and media trainer with 20 years of experience in various newsrooms across the globe. Faras has worked in, reported from and delivered trainings and workshops in 14 countries. However, community, be it in the form of audience or trainers, remains at the heart of Media Learnity so we are all stakeholders in this initiative.
What is the aim of Media Learnity?
Simple – to educate, empower and create a community not just among journalists but also others who want to learn, acquire new skills and share those. All trainings are offered free of charge because we believe that education should not cost an arm and a leg or life savings.
Is this really free?
Yes, it’s free. Totally. We will never ask for money before, during or after. If you can promise us commitment and the willingness to not only put into action what you’ve learnt but also pass it on, you are welcome to join us. You can sign up for free here.
Can I apply to be a part of the team?
Media Learnity does not have full-time staff. All our staff and trainers work on a volunteer basis. If you wish to be a trainer and share your expertise, or if you spot something you can help us out with, please get in touch. All ideas, suggestions, feedback and criticism welcome. We all love a healthy debate and discussion. Feel free to reach out to us here.
